Description: Romanian violin outfit is hand-crafted in Romania and has full performance features. Each violin has a solid spruce top with solid maple back and sides and features a composite chinrest. More features include maple neck, scroll and bridge. Ebony is used for the pegs, nut, fingerboard and tailpiece.

This outfit includes the violin, bow, brick of rosin, and instrument case.

This violin meets and exceeds MENC specifications and is educator approved for school use. We highly recommend lessons and the book offered with this product.

Sizing: To check for proper fit, measure the distance from the child's neck to the middle of the palm with the left arm outstretched to the side. If it measures between 21 and 23 inches, the three-quarter-size violin is the right size.

General sizing guidelines to the middle of the palm are as follows:

• 4/4 violin for 23 1/2"
• 3/4 violin for 22 1/4"
• 1/2 violin for 20 1/2"
• 1/4 violin for 18 1/2"

This translates to general age guidelines which are:

• ages 4-7 use a 1/4 size
• ages 6-10 use a 1/2 size
• ages 9-11 use a 3/4 size
• ages 10-12 and up use a full size (4/4)
